Cycle Training For All Levels
Get to Know Me
As a former professional cyclist who has represented Scotland and Great Britain, I have gained an extensive knowledge of the sport over the last 25 years. My journey includes:
Studying sports science at college while working with some of the best coaches in the world as part of the Great Britain squad
Competing at every level from Junior World Championship to learning my craft racing in Belguim, France, Italy and Spain. I have raced UCI Road Races and Stage Races and now at 40 I am still able to win National Elite Titles as well as World Masters titles.
I have won more than 100 road races spread over six countries winning seven National Titles, two British Masters Championships and one World Masters Championship.
My coaching highlights include teaching Madison to a now World and Olympic Champion, my athletes winning National and World Masters titles as well as breaking a British Individual Pursuit record at Masters level.
I do not work exclusively with Elite cyclists, I get just as much joy from helping riders at all levels, coaching a rider from Cat 5 to Cat 2 in the USA or helping one rider, brand new to the sport all the way to their first win and top 5 placing at British Masters Champs.
I believe in the importance of working with an individual's strengths and weaknesses customising their training as well as developing tactics. (A) priority events can be broken down to the physical demands of that event or course and training can be tailored around the specific goals or tactics to ensure the best result.
